Optics and field of view

2.8mm fixed lens provides a wide field of view for wide coverage of monitored scenes. The optics deliver a 110° horizontal, 58° vertical and 131° diagonal field of view, reducing the number of cameras needed to cover a given area while maintaining good readability of details around the edge of the image.

Sensor and image quality

The 1/2.8" CMOS sensor in 5 MP resolution provides detailed and accurate images, suitable for identification and analysis needs. The frame rate reaches up to 25 fps, ensuring smooth motion reproduction, even in scenes with rapid variations. The image rotation can be set to 0° or 180° and allows the orientation to be adapted according to the editing mode.

Built-in day-and-night lighting

The camera incorporates white LED lighting and infrared lighting, each with a range of up to 15 m. IR allows for unobtrusive operation in complete darkness, while white LEDs ensure a full-color scene when needed, improving the ability to distinguish critical details like the colors of clothing or vehicles.

Video compression and image processing

Video stream management leverages the H.265 and H.264 codecs to optimize bandwidth and storage space without degrading perceived quality. True WDR improves visibility in high dynamic range environments, balancing dark and high-light areas to maintain actionable detail across the entire scene.

Video analysis and smart features

Embedded intelligent video analytics offers motion detection and AI object detection. These features help reduce false alarms, target relevant events, and make it easier to find incidents, more effectively distinguishing objects of interest from non-significant scene changes.

Audio and local recording

A built-in digital microphone captures ambient audio to enrich video recordings with sound context, useful for incident analysis or doubt removal. Local storage is possible via a microSD card up to 256GB, allowing for standalone recording, data redundancy, or image retention in case of lost network connection.

Network connectivity

The camera is equipped with a 10/100 Mbps RJ-45 Ethernet port for easy integration into existing IP infrastructures. Compatibility with the 802.3at/af PoE standard allows power and data transmission to be combined on a single cable, simplifying installation and reducing cabling costs.

Power and energy consumption

The device can be powered via PoE with a maximum power consumption of 7.2 W, or by an external 12 V DC power supply ± 20%, 1 A, with a maximum power consumption of 6.1 W. Protection against intrusion and manipulation attempts is enhanced by a set of security mechanisms: mTLS for mutual encryption and authentication of communications, authentication via Ajax Cloud for access control to remote services, Secure Boot to ensure that boot firmware is not tampered with, and OTA signature verification to ensure the integrity of software updates.

Environmental resistance and conditions of use

The housing has an IP65 rating, ensuring resistance to dust and splashing water, making the camera suitable for outdoor installations or demanding environments. The operating temperature range of -30 °C to 60 °C allows for reliable use in a wide variety of climates without major impact on performance.
