Three-color LED display

The R910 reader includes a three-color LED display (red, green, and amber) used to indicate reader status. The intensity of the LEDs is adjusted using the Access Control Module (ACM).

Audible tone

The R910 reader includes a built-in buzzer whose frequency is adjusted using the Access Control Module (ACM).

Indoor or outdoor installation.

All R910 readers display communication errors between reader and Module (ACM) by flashing amber LED

each second.

Firmware upgrade

Connect the CV4USB as shown in Figure 2. Refer to the CV4USB installation manual for more information.

Mounting on a metal surface

Metal can cause a decrease in read range. It is possible to mount the R910 card reader on a metal surface,

but do not surround it with metal. If the reader is to be installed in a metal enclosure, ensure that the front of the card reader is not covered and that a space of at least 4 cm (1.6 in) is left between the card reader and metal on each side.
