Battery for siren alarm Radio DSC Alaxor WT4911
Some batteries can be victims of a passivation phenomenon, caused in particular by a storage of a long time or high temperatures, which is similar to a crystallization of the electrolyte. This layer, which thickens over time, protects the battery against the phenomenon of self-discharge explained in the previous part, but it also tends to increase the internal resistance and causes a risk of temporarily low voltages at the time of commissioning of the devices.
The good news is that it is possible to overflow a battery. To do this, it must be operated by pulling a few pulses of high current. Be careful, the current depends on each type of battery, hence the importance of referring to the instructions before proceeding to a depassivation.
