Ajax Curtain Outdoor - White Outdoor Curtain Detector

The Curtain Outdoor Jeweller Curtain Detector is a wireless curtain-type motion detector with dual motion detection technology for outdoor and indoor use.

The Curtain Outdoor Jeweller Detector has a horizontal detection angle of 8° and is designed for perimeter control: windows, doors, and other entrances or exits to the monitored site. Detects motion from a distance of up to 12 meters.

Two parallel IR sensors in the Curtain Outdoor Jeweller detector register an intrusion when they detect moving objects with a temperature that is different from the ambient temperature.

When the device detects motion, it additionally performs a radio frequency (RF) scan using a built-in K-band microwave sensor. This eliminates nuisance tripping caused by thermal interference: airflow, fans, air conditioners, etc.

In the event of an alarm, a detector sends it instantly to the control panel. The control panel activates the sirens connected to the system, triggers scenarios and notifies users and the monitoring station.

All alarms and events from the Curtain Outdoor Jeweller Curtain Detector are recorded in the Ajax application event stream.

Users and the monitoring station know exactly where motion is detected. Notifications contain the pod name (the name of the monitored site), the device name, and the virtual room to which the detector is assigned.

Protection against nuisance trips

The Curtain Outdoor Jeweller Curtain Detector uses the SmartDetect algorithm to prevent nuisance tripping. Thanks to this algorithm, the detector analyzes the thermal pattern detected by the sensor: the intensity of the infrared radiation, the size of the heat zone, the speed of movement, the time spent in the detection zone and other parameters.

After this step, an additional RF scan of the part is performed using the built-in K-band microwave sensor. Depending on the result, the alarm is activated or not.

The Curtain Outdoor Jeweller Curtain Detector has the Correlation Signal Processing function to prevent false alarms. It is enabled by default in the detector settings.

When this function is activated, the detector only activates the RF sensor if both IR sensors are recording identical signals.

If disabled, theCurtain Outdoor Jeweller Curtain Detector performs an RF analysis when at least one of the two IR sensors detects thermal radiation.

Pet immunity

When properly installed and configured, The Curtain Outdoor Jeweller Curtain Detector does not react to pets up to 1 m (100 cm) in height. We recommend installing the detector at a height of 1 m, setting the slider on the detector housing to the Pet position, and setting the Pet Immunity detection mode in the app.

Temperature compensation
