The URFOG FPU03ESM300 fog (smoke) generator is a modular fog generator (anti-intrusion security) that quickly produces a dense layer of fog in a room in order to obstruct visibility for an intruder.
It is used in security systems (alarm/burglar protection) to deter intrusion or complicate progress in the premises.
Method of use / installation
Here are the steps and recommendations for using this generator:
Physical installation
Wall mounting or horizontal position depending on the room, following the manufacturer's instructions.
Provide a 230 V mains supply (or 120 V depending on the version) and, if possible, a backup connection (12 V battery) for operation in the event of a power cut.
Arrange the alarm sensors, trigger contacts, and connectors (inputs/outputs) according to the diagram provided by the manufacturer.
Powering up & warming up
Once powered, let the appliance heat up about 1 hour before its first use (or after a prolonged outage) so that the internal circuits reach temperature.
Check that the fluid level (mist) is sufficient (500 ml sachet); If low level, replace with a compatible refill (model FFLXRC2/3)
Programming / Triggering
Set the desired transmission time (in seconds), up to a maximum of 40 seconds.
Connect the trigger inputs (e.g., alarm, detector, control panel) so that the device generates the fog at the right time.
Use the outputs to report states (cocked, fired, error, low level) to the control unit.
The system can also be monitored via USB/RS232 (PC software) as required.
Triggering & Issuing
When a trigger is activated, the generator initiates the emission of fog for the programmed time (≤ 40 s).
The fog generated quickly fills the target space, making visibility almost zero or greatly reduced.
After firing, the system can be refurbished (reloaded) as required.
Maintenance & Recharges
Monitor fluid level regularly and replace compatible mist packets (FFLXRC2/3 recommended).
Perform periodic tests (empty firing, signal check, sensor status) to ensure the system is working properly.
Clean or check the good condition of nozzles, internal circuits, electrical connections, etc.
Points of attention / precautions
The mist produced is said to be non-toxic/harmless (aqueous solution, glycols, etc.) according to the manufacturer's data sheets.
The generator does not create persistent smoke — the fog dissipates over time, and is not a hazard to normal breathing (under prescribed conditions of use).
The compatibility of the triggers/interfaces (alarm, centralized) should be checked to ensure proper integration into the existing security system.
Attention to the installation conditions: avoid obstructions in front of the fog outlet, areas accessible to internal moving parts, etc.
In the event of a power cut, the 12 V battery provides more than 1 hour of battery life (if battery installed) to ensure backup operation.
