The Dahua PFS3111-8ET-96-F switch is an unmanaged Layer 2 PoE switch for use in video surveillance or PoE-powered IP network installations.

Points of attention / recommended uses

• Since it is an unmanaged switch, there are no advanced configuration capabilities (VLANs, QoS, SNMP, etc.). If you need network management functions, you will need to consider a "manageable" switch.

• The "Extend" mode allows coverage of up to 250 m, but at a speed of only 10 Mbps — this is only useful for segments where bandwidth is not critical.

• Ports 1 and 2 support Hi-PoE (up to 60 W) — useful for demanding devices (PTZ cameras, projectors, etc.).

• Make sure to provide DC power in the 48-57V range, and use good quality cables (Cat6 or better) to minimize losses.

• Electrical protections (4 kV / 2 kV) provide increased resistance to power surges, which is useful for outdoor installations or in sensitive environments.
