The Dahua DHI-ARD912-W2 (868)V detector is a wireless water leak detector designed to be integrated into Dahua alarm systems operating in the 868 MHz frequency band. It is intended to monitor the presence of water or abnormal humidity in sensitive areas such as under a washing machine, a water heater, near pipes or around sanitary bowls. When a leak or accumulation of water is detected, the device immediately sends an alert to the alarm center to enable rapid intervention.

This detector is designed for indoor installation, usually positioned on the ground or fixed in a location at risk of flooding or leakage. It uses water-sensitive contact sensors that detect the passage of electrical current when the sensing surfaces come into contact with a conductive liquid. This technology reliably identifies the presence of water without being influenced by slight changes in ambient humidity.

Communication with the alarm centre takes place via a secure two-way 868 MHz radio link, using encryption mechanisms and frequency hopping to ensure reliable transmissions even in disturbed environments.
