Optics and image sensor

The 2.8 mm fixed lens in combination with a 1/2.8" CMOS sensor provides a wide-angle image with a high level of detail, suitable for monitoring large areas or medium-sized rooms. The 5 MP resolution allows you to capture scenes with excellent definition, useful for the precise identification of people and objects. The extended field of view reaches 110° horizontally, 58° vertically, and 131° diagonally, reducing the number of cameras needed to cover an area. The 0° or 180° image rotation function makes it easy to adjust the video orientation according to the camera's installation position.

Imaging performance and video processing

The camera delivers a video stream of up to 25 frames per second, ensuring smooth reproduction of movement, even in dynamic scenes. Support for the H.265 and H.264 codecs optimizes network bandwidth and storage space by reducing file sizes without significantly degrading image quality. True WDR provides advanced backlight management and wide brightness differences, improving the readability of dark and bright areas in the same scene, especially at the entrance to buildings or near large windows.

Night Vision & Lighting

The camera incorporates a lighting system consisting of white and infrared LEDs, each with a range of up to 15 meters. IR LEDs allow for discreet monitoring in complete darkness, while white LEDs can be used to enhance color and contrast at night or as a deterrent lighting. This dual lighting technology ensures optimised visibility in different light conditions, without the need for additional outdoor lighting over the indicated distances.

Local storage and recording

The microSD card slot supports capacities up to 256GB, allowing for continuous, scheduled, or event-based local recording. This internal storage capability secures recordings even if there is a loss of connection to the central system or network, and makes it easy to export footage directly from the memory card if needed.

Audio and smart features

An integrated digital microphone allows sound to be captured directly at the camera, which enriches video recordings with an audio dimension useful for incident analysis and doubt removal. Intelligent video analytics features include motion detection and AI object detection, automatically identifying relevant events and reducing false alarms. These algorithms can be leveraged to trigger notifications, targeted check-ins, or automation scenarios within the security system.

Network and Power Connectivity

The camera has a 10/100 Mbps RJ-45 Ethernet port ensuring a reliable network connection for video transmission and remote management. Compatibility with the 802.3at/af PoE standard allows power and data over a single Ethernet cable, simplifying installation and limiting additional cabling. The maximum PoE power consumption is 7.2 W, which allows the system's PoE switches and injectors to be sized correctly. Alternatively, an external 12V DC power supply ± 20% can be used, with a maximum power consumption of 6.1W, for installations without PoE.

Security, protection and reliability

The camera has advanced tamper protection thanks to mTLS support, authentication via Ajax Cloud, Secure Boot and signature verification during OTA updates. These mechanisms ensure the integrity of the firmware, the authenticity of communications, and protection against software compromise attempts. The IP65-certified housing ensures resistance to dust and splashing water, making the camera suitable for outdoor or exposed environments. The operating temperature range of -30 °C to 60 °C allows reliable use in a variety of climatic conditions, from cold winter to high temperatures.

Dimensions and mechanical integration

With dimensions of 11.4 cm x 11.4 cm x 6.7 cm and a weight of 430 g, the camera has a compact size that makes it easy to integrate discreetly on facades, ceilings or interior walls. Its small footprint allows installation in limited spaces while maintaining a wide field of vision. This compactness, combined with the lightness of the device, simplifies fixing on different supports and limits mechanical stress on existing structures.
