The recorder incorporates 16 channels of video input for simultaneous connection of IP cameras or compatible video surveillance devices. It supports a distributed capacity to combine different image formats according to the needs of the site: 1 channel up to 12MP, 1 channel up to 8MP, 3 channels up to 5MP, 4 channels up to 4MP, 4 channels up to 1080p, 10 channels up to 720p and 16 channels up to a resolution of 1024 × 576 pixels. This configuration flexibility allows for precise sizing of video assets based on critical areas and image detail requirements.
The system supports a wide range of recording resolutions from 12MP to QCIF, including 8MP, 6MP, 5MP, 4MP, 3MP, 1080p, UXGA, 720p, VGA, 4CIF, DCIF, 2CIF, CIF, and QCIF. It integrates several video compression formats, including H.265 and H.264, to optimize the use of bandwidth and storage space without compromising image quality, as well as the JetSparrow format for specific encoding needs. This combination of resolutions and codecs provides fine-tuning of the quality/volume ratio of data depending on the deployment scenario.
The HDMI output allows for local viewing with multiple supported resolutions, including 1920 × 1080, 1600 × 1200, 1280 × 1024, and 1280 × 720 pixels, ensuring compatibility with the majority of professional monitors. The device offers synchronized playback on 16 channels, which allows the simultaneous review of several video streams for incident analysis, quality control or alarm verification, while maintaining a smooth display adapted to security applications.
The recorder has built-in intelligent video analysis features, including motion detection and AI-assisted object detection. These features help reduce false alarms and improve the relevance of the events reported to the system. It also offers visual verification of Ajax system alarms, allowing alarm triggers to be correlated in real time with the associated video streams, for faster decision-making and optimized incident management.
The integrated video management system provides centralized management of cameras and recordings. The device is compatible with Ajax cameras as well as IP cameras supporting ONVIF (S and T Profiles) or RTSP, guaranteeing a wide opening to heterogeneous fleets of cameras. This extensive compatibility facilitates integration into existing infrastructures and allows the gradual evolution of equipment without questioning the overall architecture.
The device is equipped with a 10/100 Mbps self-adaptive RJ-45 Ethernet port for network connection. It handles an inbound bandwidth of up to 80 Mbps and an outbound bandwidth of up to 40 Mbps, which can support multiple high-resolution streams in parallel. Many network protocols are supported, including HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, SNMP, RTSP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, and DDNS, ensuring reliable integration into a variety of IP environments, with support for name, remote management, and secure video streaming services.
The device supports an internal SATA hard drive, with a maximum capacity of 16 TB. This capability allows for the archiving of a large volume of video data, especially for installations that require long-term retention or continuous recording across many high-resolution channels. The hard drive is not included, providing the freedom to choose the model and capacity to suit the installation needs and record retention policies.
The system's power supply is universal, from 110 to 240 V, 50/60 Hz, with a current of 0.6 A and a maximum consumption of 24 W, allowing easy integration into different electrical environments while limiting energy consumption. A 3V CR2032 battery serves as a holding battery for the internal clock, ensuring that the date and time are preserved in the event of a power outage, which is crucial for the temporal consistency of recordings and the reliability of video evidence.
Designed for indoor use, the device has an IP20 rating, suitable for dry and protected environments. The operating temperature range is 0°C to 40°C, which covers most conditions encountered in technical rooms, control stations and offices. Dedicated privacy features are integrated to meet regulatory requirements and internal video data protection policies, limiting access to sensitive information and regulating its use.
The compact housing with dimensions of 21.2 cm × 21.2 cm × 6.4 cm makes it easy to integrate into technical cabinets, workstations or safety cabinets. Its weight of 782 g allows for simplified installation, including on wall shelves or lightweight brackets. This compactness, combined with the processing and storage performance, makes it a suitable solution for installations requiring a high density of channels in a small space.
